GoRecycle Awards: A Seal of Credibility
Montreal, April 15, 2025 – GoRecycle is proud to announce the winners of the inaugural GoRecycle Award 2025. Awarded every year, this distinction recognizes the outstanding commitment of independent retailers, home collection service providers, municipal partners, and reuse organizations working with GoRecycle. It honours their exceptional efforts in the proper recovery of cooling appliances, which in turn helps protect the environment.
To carry out its mission, GoRecycle counts on a team of dedicated professionals and a wide network of committed members and partners, without whom these achievements would not be possible. This award provides a valuable opportunity to highlight their efforts and essential contributions.
One Award, Three Categories: Celebrating Changemakers
The GoRecycle Awards were presented across three categories: Excellence, recognizing the top five members with the highest recovery rates; Commitment, highlighting the sustained efforts of our members; and Special Mention, shining a spotlight on a standout contribution to our mission, regardless of partner type.
Following a rigorous selection process, we are immensely proud to unveil the recipients of the Excellence category of the 2025 GoRecycle Award:
- Independent Members: Mobilier Félix Valois Inc., Appareils Ménagers Robert Leduc, Ameublement A. Denis et Fils Ltée, J. Pitre Service Inc., and Ameublement Machabée.
- Banner Members: Domon Ltée, Germain Larivière, The Brick, Leon’s, and Branchaud.
- Municipal Partners: City of Fermont, Municipality of Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Régie des Matières Résiduelles du Lac-Saint-Jean, Complexe Environnemental de la Rouge, and Charlevoix RCM.
Thanks to these agents of change—who turn commitment into measurable results—8,200 tonnes of materials were recovered in 2024, preventing the emission of over 150,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases. These efforts are a powerful step forward in the fight against climate change and in waste reduction. A meaningful move toward a more sustainable future.
For GoRecycle, celebrating organizations that stand out for their unwavering commitment and exceptional results—while also recognizing the ongoing efforts of all members and partners who contribute to its mission—remains essential. These award recipients are part of a group that upholds high standards in the recycling of cooling appliances and in environmental stewardship.
